Our first trip to the beach this year:
I was surprised to see Josiah acting a bit timid within the first few minutes, because he normally isn't. But he very quickly warmed up, and he's been talking about it ever since!
Burying feet...
Throwing sand...
Eating sand (really thought we'd be done with this, but at least it only happened once this year)...
Building castles (and wrecking castles!)...
Treasure hunting....
'Swimming'...
And, of course, dealing with first jelly-fish stings...
We didn't realize why he was crying when we were nearing the end of our visit. When we got home, we saw these stings! Hopefully he won't remember them next time we suggest going to the beach.

Just a thought: You could take this sequence of pics, add some dialogue for kids and - Presto! You'd have a children's book
Fun post and fun times by the looks of things. Asher and I just did our first beach trip of the year and he WOULD NOT get out of the water. Do I smell our next field trip coming up or what??!! I'm sure the city bus goes to the beach, right? :)'
